Its location was marvellous, next to a separate restaurant 2km away as well as both Trooperstown. The staff was wonderful and marvellous and the host too.

We had a wonderful time at Trooperstown Lodge, where we stayed for 3 nights. The location was perfect for exploring Glendalough and the nearby hiking trails. Erica, the hotel staff, was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We loved the free shuttle to the restaurant, where we had delicious meals with generous portions. The coffee in the morning was a highlight, and we even had scones and fruit waiting for us for an early breakfast before our flight. The beautiful rooms, building, and grounds made our stay even more memorable. Plus, they have a fantastic collection of first editions for book lovers to enjoy!
Totally recommend this hotel.

I had an amazing stay at Trooperstown Lodge. We stayed for a few nights and loved every moment. The attention to detail in the hotel was exceptional - it's clear that a lot of effort and expense went into making it a perfect home away from home. The service was outstanding, with transport provided to their fantastic restaurant just minutes away. Erica, the property manager, was warm, friendly, and always ready to assist. The hotel itself had beautiful reading rooms and a bar for some peaceful alone time. I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable stay in Wicklow County.
Strongly recommend this hotel.

Our recent stay at the lodge in the beautiful Wicklow Mountains was absolutely delightful. The accommodation was cozy and comfortable, and the communal lounge with tea and coffee facilities was a lovely touch. The gardens surrounding the lodge were stunning, providing a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Our host Erica was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Although breakfast was not served at the lodge, the nearby Wicklow Heather restaurant provided a delicious start to our day. I highly recommend this hidden gem in the Wicklow Mountains for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Loved the breakfast options, especially the porridge with berries; made my daughter's day. The location was convenient; Glendalough National Park was only a short distance. The free car rides offered to the restaurant were greatly appreciated. We loved the lake walk nearby with various tracks available for easy and tough hikes.

The accommodation had multiple seating areas, and the nearby restaurant served delicious meals with great service. The host was friendly, and the location was well-located for enjoying the surrounding green countryside. The amenities provided in the room, such as a table, fridge, and coffee, were appreciated.
The beds were too short, and the mattresses were hard and uncomfortable, making for a less-than-ideal sleep experience.

Spent New Year's Eve at a lodge in the Wicklow Mountains and it was fantastic! First, the complimentary local restaurant shuttle was a great perk so we didn't have to worry about driving. Second, the lodge location was perfect because it was just a few minutes' drive to the town and the mountains. Lastly, we had a cozy and comfortable night by the fire with the fantastic lodge staff.
Our only issue was that the sitting room noise carried into our room making it difficult to sleep early. However, it wasn't a big deal because the guests didn't stay too late.
